The Lux Collective
“A Drop in the Ocean” is an inspiring 30 minute multi-media show expressing the idea that every drop is vital in this great sea of life!
It explores misplaced frustrations and aggression and the power to transform negativity into harmony and beauty. The use of stunning UV lights, projections, giant puppets (care of Marionettas ) outlandish characters like Coca-cola woman, Miss. Con sumer and the birds of freedom with their UV fan-wings, combine to inspire the breaking out beyond consumerisism to reach our full potential and live with respect for the earth. The show is backed by a kicking and uplifting soundtrack performed live by our own band EatPrunes.
Our sets and costumes are made from recycled and reclaimed materials which direct our artistic style and helps us walk our environmentally conscious talk.
We have encouraged children and adults from our local communities to join in and experience the thrill of creativity and performance. Our Sunday eve ‘fashion show extravaganza’ at festivals is open to everyone to come, dress up and strutt their stuff.
LUX is about people fulfilling their potential. Our song and dance workshops gives everyone the opportunity to be a part of random and spontaneous performances throughout the festival weekend.
Eatprunes have regular gigs throughout Andalusia. (demo CD available) Drum and bass and break beatz, with beautiful live female harmonies to feed the spirit with positive lyrics.
Marionettas hit the festival scene last year with their amazing giant puppets, often entertaining from the main stage and provide audience based puppetry. www.marionettas.com
