The Green Dragon Field
The Green Dragon Field is a beautiful, green grassy space with forty two hours of live music and a chance to hear rock, pop, folk, funk, rap, punk, soul ,poetry, and everything in between.
Through out the weekend we will be hosting a market place, a labyrinth, juggling, fireshows, krafts for kids, flags from the internationally renowned Angus Watt, artist exhibition space, the Konscious Korner which will feature environmental and political issues, campaign stalls and the History of the Dragon Festival exhibition.
The Green Dragon Cafe Bar will be serving some of the best vegetarian food and drink around, a good place to eat and drink healthy, organic, additive free local produce. It’s also home to the Open Mic where anybody can come and let their talents shine. The Green field is a baby and kid friendly zone, with outstanding compost toilets and a calm and tranquil camping space, a good place for rest, recuperation and healing and the place to experience early morning tai chi and yoga.
The Magical Healing Space will provide a safe-space for folk to come to. There will be several on-going sessions of healing and therapies available. Small groups will gather to learn in short and sweet workshops! Running through out the festival will be a daily meditation with channeling, chanting and visualisations ... to empower the Best of the Festy! Encourage the development of Inner Joy and Peace.
Bands and acts lined up for 2008 will be arriving from all over Europe. confirmed acts are: After Prozac, Porn Truck, Vi Sub Versa and Sorrell, Ivan Campo, Lucidia and Ryan, Absolut Pantz, Unrest, Topati, Mama Paula, Drumstein, the Hicksters, Stephen Bellm, Punk Duro, Acoustic Vibrations, Poetry slam and The Honey Badgers.
Most of the homes in Los Cigarrones run on renewable energy. We will demonstrate how viable small scale solar and wind power is, by powering our entire stage using STEVIE T’s Wind and Solar Powered STAGE. It is a 12 volt 600watt stereo sound reinforcement system designed primarily as a small live stage rig. Fronted by a 12 channel mixer with built in FX and EQ, and incorporating outboard signal processing and on stage monitoring. The system has the versatility to produce a crisp, clean top end matched to a mellow midrange, with a bass that will kick and thump as required.

Nobody pays for a ticket for the Dragon Festival. Its FREE. To make the Green Dragon everything it could be we need help and support.
