Agua Libre Free Stage
The Agua Libre live stage first rocked the Dragon in 2006.
Driven by the desire to see a venue for loud live ass-kicking music, the Agua Libre crew built an 8mx3m stage using the back of a flatbed lorry as the base. Rain caused problems the first year but since then the stage has developed and is now covered by a 40ft marquee.
The Agua Libre crew are proud to provide an alternative music space featuring punk, ska, rock and roll, funk,reggae and jazz bands as well as cabaret and performance in the day. Music in the bar area is also of an 'old skool' variety. It is a space to stomp, mosh and have fun enjoying raucous live music through the day and into the night. Bands previously featured on the Agua Libre stage include: Sensa Yuma, Cupid Stunts, Berinche, Mundo Sonoro, Absolut Pantz, Stiff Bizkit, Anarchistwood, Stropizio and many more.
The space will open Thursday and run through to Monday. Bands will play from 6pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
During the day there will be a small market for cool clothing and jewellry. On site too will be a tatooist, hairstylist and piercing specialist. High quality food and drink will be on offer from a fun, friendly team.
Agua Libre welcomes all bands who want to strut their stuff in grand style and djs who play unusual sets (there are plenty of rigs playing hardcore, drum and bass, gabba, house etc.) we want something a little bit different! Welcome, too, are small stallholders selling items of excellence.
